Java has a very rigid syntax, and it is important that you learn the basics of it. As you read these pages, pay attention to the exact form of things. You should be able to duplicate the form.
One thing to remember about Java is that lower case and upper case letters are not considered the same thing. So WORD, Word and word are considered three different words in Java, because the capitalization is different.
