Tech Support Protocol to follow for using the CSCI virtual compute servers xlogin.cs.ecu.edu (150.216.150.32) (Last Modified: February 5, 2016) --- Reminder: Use Port 2200 when doing a remote ssh connection. Then you won't have to use the ECU VPN (see below for VPN issues) --- If the problem relates to compiler messages, using UNIX, etc., then you need to contact me (rws@cs.ecu.edu) --- If the problem relates to system resources (e.g., insufficient memory or disk space), then it is a CET issue (see below). --- If the problem is a connection problem, either through NX or ssh, then it is a CET issue (see below). --- If the problem appears to be a password problem, try logging into PiratePort or Pirate Mail. If you can log in there, then the problem is something inside of CET (see below). --- If the problem is a connection problem to the VPN, then the issue is a general ITCS issue (contact Help Desk). But also please let me know through email that you are having a connection problem with the VPN. Their phone number is 328-9866 ************************************************************************ CET Issue Communication The best method of communication for a CET issue is to send email to the following address tecssupport@ecu.edu Be sure to send me a cc (rws@cs.ecu.edu), so I know what is happening. Thanks, Ronnie
