Organization of Programming Languages (3)
P: CSCI 3200 or 3310. Applied course in programming language constructs. Emphasis on run-time behavior of programs. Provides appropriate background for advanced-level courses involving formal and theoretical aspects of programming languages and compilation process.

Brief discussion: This course covers fundamental concepts in programming languages, including different groups of languages, how they are similar and how they are different, and how those concepts are employed in the algorithm design and programming process.
Where the course fits: This course is required for the B.S. in computer science and is an elective for the B.A. in computer science. It is not directly measured for ABET outcomes.
