I have close collaborations with researchers in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Engineering, Business, and Entrepreneurship fields, and we engage Master’s and PhD students in inter-disciplinary projects. Some of these collaborations are listed below:

1. Department of Radiology at McMaster University (Drs. David Koff and Peter Bak), Ontario Research Fund (ORF) project: “Secure Intelligent Content Delivery System for Timely Delivery of Large Data Sets in a Regional/National Electronic Health Record”. My research team works on the Security of Distributed PACS and DI-r Systems (Web Site)
2. Division of Gastroenterology at the Medical Centre of McMaster University (Drs. David Armstrong); project: "Multi-Datacenter Network of Knowledge Extraction and Dissemination for IBD Clinics" (Web Site)
3. DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University (Drs. Norm Archer and Joseph Tan), with project: Cloud-based Personal Health Record Systems. I am an Adjunct Associate Professor at DeGroote School of Business.
4. MEDIC Centre at Mohawk College (Mr. Duane Bender and Dr. Ted Scott), collaborating on projects involving experimental distributed and cloud-based PACS and DI-r systems.
5. Rouge Valley Health System, East GTA (Dr. Thodoros Topaloglou) with projects such as: Interactive and Mobile Scheduling of Physicians on Duty, and Wait-time Management.
6. Walter G. Booth School of Engineering Practice at McMaster University (Drs. Rafik Loutfy and Lotfi Belkhir). I have been engaged as technical mentor for several eHealth related entrepreneurship projects.
7. I have established successful research collaboration between scientific researchers at university (UOIT and McMaster University) and applied researchers at college (Mohawk College), which is known as “University-College Research-Pathway”. This initiative is between our lab (Multi-disciplinary Smart Software Systems Lab, “Multi-SmartSS Lab”) and Mohawk’s MEDIC Centre (mHealth & eHealth Development and Innovation Centre). This initiative has been acknowledged by the President of the Mohawk College by awarding me the title “Distinguished Fellow – Adjunct Professor” at Mohawk College Convocation in June 2013.
