The program objectives
indicate how the B.S. degree in computer science
prepares students for life and work after college.
Each objective is supported by a collection of
program outcomes, each describing
specific abilities that students will have
at the time of graduation that contribute to the

Graduates of the B.S. in Computer Science at ECU will be prepared
with a broad technical foundation in computer science and problem
solving that allows them to enter professional practice or pursue
graduate studies in the discipline.
The outcomes that contribute to this objective are:

computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

Graduates of the B.S. in Computer Science at ECU will be prepared
with the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to analyze computational
problems and design and implement software-based
